This article is in two phases. The first part treats all you need to do to recover a disabled facebook account while the second part tackles the processes involved in resetting facebook password. Continue reading below.
1. Delete and then reinstall the Facebook app.
2. Login with account details.
3. On the security page that opens up, select “Get help from friends”.
4. On the trusted contacts page that opens up, select a few good friends who you can contact easily.
5. Click on Continue. Facebook will send a security code to all the friends you have just selected.
6. Contact those friends and request that they send you the code.
7. Once you gather all the codes from your friends, you can use the code to unlock your Facebook account.
If that doesn’t work…
1. Reinstall the app on your phone, and clear the cache if you have it opened in your browser.
2. Email [email protected] and include your name, date of birth, and a brief description of the issue. They will likely ask you to confirm your identity with a license or passport.
3. Once your identity is confirmed, they will send a reactivation link as long as you have not violated any of their policies. Click on that and go through the automated security verification process.
4. During this time, try not to attempt to open your Facebook account for any reason.

How To Reset Facebook Password: Bear in mind that changing your password is different from resetting your password. To change your password, you have to be able to remember your present password but you only reset your password when you have forgotten the present password which is done at the login page.
A reset code will be sent to your registered email to reset it but to change your password, here are the steps to follow;
Click on edit just in front of the password
Then you will be required to input your present password before inputting a new password (note that Facebook password is case sensitive and it is good to use a combination of letter, digit, and symbols to form a strong password)
Click on confirm, then your password will be changed to the new one. See: How Do I Set My Facebook Profile To Private | Privatize Your Profile On Facebook Profile
Note that Facebook will log out all other third-party applications connected to it after changing your password, so you have to re-login whenever you open the application.
