Classical Zero SR/F Motorcycle and its Features

The Zero SR/F is an all-electric motorcycle with a spectacular look and performance. The bike is insanely fast, and its smooth-running, powerful engine, complete with a slew of performance enhancements, is a rider’s dream come true.

It maintains its EV status by not requiring the use of a clutch or gear on a regular basis, and its high-capacity lithium-ion battery provides an incredibly long range.

The new SR/F features a dynamic look, with a bare body design that exposes the powerplant from both sides. The bike has a trellis steel frame with a fully adjustable Showa SFF-BP 43mm fork.

It features a 4.7-inch inverted fork in the front and a 5.5-inch Showa mono-shock in the back.

The bike is equipped with 17-inch Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires and twin radial-mounted 4-piston J.Juan calipers and 320mm discs with Bosch ABS in the front and single-piston J.Juan calipers and 240mm discs with Bosch ABS in the rear.

The SR/F has a 57.1-inch wheelbase and a curb weight of 485 pounds, whilst the premium trim has a 498-pound curb weight. In terms of hauling capacity, the SR/F is fairly amazing for an electric vehicle.

The basic version has a carrying capacity of 515 lbs, while the premium version has a carrying capacity of 13 lbs less.

The instrumentation features a fully digital LCD screen behind the handlebars that can also connect to a smartphone.

A Flawless Performance

The SR/electric F’s motor and battery pack were designed specifically for a powerful, flawless performance.

The engine is a Zeros ZF75-10 that produces 110 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque.

To improve performance, the electric motor has an internal permanent magnet brushless architecture and a passive air cooling system. The bike can reach a top speed of 124 mph thanks to this strong powerplant.

Variable charging capabilities are offered on the SR/F Standard and Premium trims. A 3kW charger is included in the Standard model, while a 6kW charger is included in the Premium model.

The 3kW charger takes 4.5 hours to fully charge the battery, whereas the 6kW charger takes 2.5 hours.

A Rapid Charge System is also available from Zero, which allows the bike to be configured for charging at 3 kW, 6 kW, 9 kW, or 12 kW at any normal Level 2 charging station.

The 3kW charger charges the battery for 38 miles in an hour when connected to this setup. The same distance on 6kW is 76 miles, and 153 miles on 12kW.

The rider can cruise for 199 miles on the high-capacity battery pack, which is outstanding and plenty for regular riding in and around the city limits. The SR/F has four riding modes to choose from Eco, Sport, Rain, and Street.

Each ride mode resets the throttle response and power delivery to match the ride mode. It also includes ten customizable unique riding modes that the rider may control via the dash screen or a smartphone app.

In terms of speed, the electric-powered SR/F is on par with any traditional gasoline-powered motorcycle.

The SR/F can go from 0 to 60 mph in under 3.7 seconds, which is an impressive figure for many sports bikes in the category.

It can also accelerate to 80 mph in 1.7 seconds and run a quarter-mile in 11.83 seconds with a top speed of 124 mph.

Super Tech

The new SR/F, according to Zero, is entirely intelligent. The bike includes a built-in operating system called Cypher III that serves as a hub for all motorbike functions that work along with the smartphone app.

The Cypher is equipped with the BOSCH Motorcycle Stability Control system (MSC), which is the first time the MSC has been used on an electric motorcycle.

This system, which includes traction control, drag torque control, and cornering brake control, enables dynamic acceleration and enhanced stability on diverse road surfaces and situations. OTA updates are also available for the Cypher III.

Through cloud computing, Cypher III’s operating system remains in sync with the mobile application.

The app provides riders with information such as the bike’s status and location. The app, in particular, checks the bike’s state and provides the rider with four different sorts of status and alerts: charging, riding statistics, system upgrades, and updates.

The Zero SR/F takes things a step further in the direction of an electrified future by adding some really unique features.

The most recent addition is the Cypher III operating system, which includes cloud-based smartphone interaction.

According to the manufacturer, no other electric or gasoline-powered motorcycle has the mechanism at this time, giving the SR/F a significant advantage.
