Facts about the Mini Cooper Countryman

Until AMC’s Eagle in the late 1970s, no one had seen an automobile that combined the comfort of a compact car with the topographical agility of a 4WD. As a result of this innovation, a new class of vehicles known as the ‘crossover SUV‘ was born.

MINI, a British vehicle company owned by BMW, debuted its model of the crossover SUV dubbed the Mini Cooper Countryman in 2010, improving and updating the concept.

The Mini Cooper Countryman is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV that is now available in six different trim levels: Cooper, All4, S, S All4, JCW All4, and SE All4. The SUV’s MSRP ranges from $29,100 for the base Cooper Countryman to $41,500 for both the JWC All4 and the SE All4 trims.

While there is a slew of features that excite us about the Mini Cooper Countryman, its performance is undoubtedly the most exciting. The John Cooper Works Countryman (JWC) All4, with its TwinPower turbo, 4-cylinder engine producing 301 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque, has the most terrifying performance stat, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds.

MINI offers several powerful engine options in the Countryman’s various trim levels. The TwinPower Turbo 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine, which powers the All4 drive-equipped Mini Cooper Countryman grades, is one of the SUV’s engines.

It only gets better with the JCW Countryman All4’s TwinPower Turbo, 4-cylinder engine, while the 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo 3-cylinder engine combined with the eDrive Electric Motor in the Hybrid All4 System has to be the nicest and most astounding of the powertrains.

The non-hybrid models did well as well, with the 3-cylinder model being the most fuel-efficient, returning up to 26 mpg in the city and 33 on the interstate. In addition, the Cooper S trim’s 4-cylinder engine got 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the interstate.

MINI chose to create the Countryman as an SUV so that it could overcome even the most severe terrain. And, thanks to its All4 (All-Wheel Drive) system, the SUV easily overcomes the hurdles posed by even the most difficult terrains – such as mountain roads, icy routes, or minor glitches encountered while riding around town.

The All4 drive variants come standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while non-hybrid front-drive vehicles get a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The Mini Cooper Countryman, in contrast to the traditional, adorable but ‘small’ original Minis, is fairly capacious. With a 105.1-inch wheelbase, the Countryman’s interior is thoughtfully designed to comfortably accommodate five people while giving ample legroom and baggage capacity for all of them.

The interior, which includes heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a digital instrument cluster, and passive entry, is also constructed with high-quality materials.

Touch inputs, a console-mounted dial, and a voice command are all available on this optional screen.

The Mini Cooper Countryman is a sight to behold. The Countryman has increased the standard, even though conventional Mini Coopers have always had an appealing appearance.

It gets even better with the latest Countryman upgrades, which include a redesigned front and bumper, new headlights and rear lights with union-jack designs, as well as a variety of wheel options for performance and impact.

These new trims also provide two extra exterior colors and a piano black exterior trim option.

It also boasts a self-parking assist system, which uses ultrasonic sensors strategically placed around the Countryman to detect a parking slot and automatically drive the Countryman into it.

The Countryman PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle) drivetrain choice not only delivers the legendary performance found in the greatest exclusively gas-powered trims, but it also comes with the added benefit of a lower carbon footprint, along with all the benefits that entail.

The hybrid drivetrain produces 221 horsepower and comes equipped with an eAll4 Drive system. In this design, the PHEV battery is the major source of power, with the gas-powered engine kicking in when the battery runs out.
