Wiesmann MF5: Here Is Why We Love It

When talking about a car with an insane performance, look no further. The Wiesmann MF5 is one of such with the best handling and most powerful roadsters available on the market today.

This German beauty was launched at the International Motor Show 2009 in Frankfurt the Wiesmann Roadster MF5 is the open-air sibling of the GT MF5. With the exception of the canvas canopy and the electrically driven rear wing, it essentially mimics the majority of its features.

The thrill of cruising in one of these roadsters is amplified by the strong V10 engine under the hood, which produces 507hp (378kW) and 520Nm, allowing for a top speed of 310km/h and a zero to 100km/h (62mph) sprint time of just 3.9 seconds.

Let’s pretend we were dying to turn the key and feel the power, grace, and speed of the open road. The Wiesmann, on the other hand, feels incredibly nimble and is a blast to drive down a winding road.

Despite its dynamic resolution and clarity, it is surprisingly comfortable. It’s incredibly elegant in the way it feels sharp and supple at the same time.

507 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque It’s no surprise that the acceleration is mind-boggling in a car weighing only 1,380kg. The MF5’s roofless sibling employs the same all-alloy, normally aspirated 5.0 liter V10 as the outgoing BMW M5, M6, and coupé.

The incredible engine produces 507bhp at 7,750rpm and 520Nm (383lb-ft) of torque at 6,100rpm, making it one of the best in the world.

The masterpiece is a high-revving marvel of current engine technology, yowling its way to 8,250rpm with a perfect blend of savagery and smoothness.

The full 507 horsepower is available only when the driver selects the sport mode, which is similar to the M performance setting on both BMWs; the default setting is 400 horsepower.

Weight reduction has been considerably achieved at 1395kg, it is only 15kg heavier than the coupé and half a ton less than both BMW super saloons.

The MF5 delivers a power-to-weight ratio of 363bhp/ton. The technical setup is combined with a three-way catalytic converter, petrol injection and stainless steel twin exhaust pipes.

Stopping power is achieved by massive 374mm front and 370mm rear carbon-composite brakes.

The Wiesmann Roadster MF5 performs like a sprinter, as expected. Massive traction off the line paired with the smoothness of a good sports car creates an unexpected combination.

The Roadster’s excellent handling and cornering skills make it a highly recommended vehicle. You will be rewarded if you use your guts to push it to its boundaries. Pushing oneself to the limit means being surrounded by a rush you don’t get every day.

The engine is the most important component. The power is one thing, but the 10 cylinders’ tremendous auditory presence stays with any driver.

None of the words here can really describe the V10’s vocal performance, the camshafts, or the exhaust pipe that backfires on every paddle downshift. Every petrolhead’s favorite symphony, performed by a ten-headed orchestra, is this roofless MF5.

The Interior

To display eluquence craftmanship, the cabin is entirely handcrafted with the goal of immersing the driver in the sport seats, ready for action. After the first drive, the driver-facing chromed dials, hand-stitched steering wheel, unique trim, and LED display behind the wheel all make sense.

The same is true if your feet are not aligned with the steering wheel’s location. Similarly, no one talks about the outside, which could raise uneasy inquiries on the first side.

You’ll simply manually open the quality-built roof, open the windows, start the engine, and let your right foot do the talking as the person next to you sits in the passenger seat.

All of the tiny details we’ve just listed don’t add up to an unpleasant experience; in fact, they’re all gone once you’ve driven the first meter.

This is what an open roadster is all about. Everything about the MF5 appears to be geared to provide the driver with the most thrilling experience possible. While rushing down tough roads, its superb blend of nimbleness and power is one enormous feast.

A sweeping hood dominates the exterior, while a large spoiler obscures the back end. The

The MF5 was designed in the 1960s as a sporty British coupe with modern technology. The retro-style design included rounded bodywork contours and large front wheel fenders.

Round headlights with transparent lenses were significantly superior to the greatest headlights of the 1960s. The bumper, on the other hand, was completely absent. Behind the front fascia, the crash-protective features were neatly camouflaged.

Wiesmann believed that a truly hard-core sportscar needed to have a minimalist design, and that’s exactly what it had.

The company put four LED taillights grouped by two in the back. The trunk lid was ornamented with a large wing that wasn’t just for show.
