The Tonight Show with Leno garnered four Emmy Awards (1995–97; 1999), and Leno got numerous accolades, including a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame in 2000. Statistically, more than five million people followed his program on each episode as of 2008 giving his closest rival ‘’the Late Showa’’ a technical knockout.
