Anticipated Phones for 2022

8 Best Anticipated Phones of 2022

With the rapid rate of smartphone advancement, there’s always something new on the horizon. The excitement for the next big thing begins as soon as you see the latest device.

We’ll take a look at the phones that haven’t yet been released, as well as the phones that will be released in 2022. This list will be updated on a regular basis with device rumors that we believe are both genuine and fascinating.

In terms of already-released handsets, we’ve compiled a list of the best smartphones for 2022, which we feel to be the greatest on all platforms. If your budget is a little tighter, check out our piece on budget smartphones under £200, as well as a mid-range roundup up to £400.

The next generation of phones is expected to arrive in the near future.

OnePlus 10 Pro

We’ve seen what the next-generation OnePlus phone might look like, but we haven’t heard much else. However, we expect the Snapdragon S8 Gen1 to feature a 2K 120Hz LTPO display and more attempts to improve the camera. We anticipate its unveiling in January 2022, with the possibility of a Chinese launch prior to a global launch.

Nokia X50

Although there have been numerous rumors about a Nokia 9 PureView successor, the trail appears to have gone cold, leading to speculation that Nokia may instead release a Nokia 8.3 replacement with five cameras, potentially dubbed the Nokia X50. A 6.5-inch display, Snapdragon 700 series chipset, and a 108-megapixel primary camera are all possibilities. We’re now looking at a debut date of 2022.

Samsung Galaxy S22 family

The Samsung Galaxy S22 series of smartphones, which includes the S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra, is set to debut in February 2022, with sizes ranging from 6-inches to 6.81-inches. The main camera on the Ultra will be 108MP with 12x optical zoom, while the lesser phones will have a 50MP main camera. The Exynos 2200 with AMD GPU may also be available for these devices.

Oppo Find X4

Oppo has stated that the new MediaTek Dimensity 9000 would be used in a future Find X device, although we don’t know which one. Because Oppo has been promoting its own NPU hardware, MariSilicon, as the hardware for the next-generation Find X flagship, the picture is a little perplexing.

Apple iPhone 14

With Apple’s two-year design cycle, the iPhone 14 should feature a completely new look. That might mean ditching the notch in favor of a punchhole camera and in-display Touch ID. As is customary, we anticipate an announcement in October.

Huawei Mate 50 Pro

With a 7000mAh battery and a 6.8-inch display, the Huawei Mate 50 Pro is said to be a monster. The Kirin 9000 is touted to power it, although we have our reservations about Huawei’s chip stock. According to rumors, the launch will take place in March 2022.

Google Pixel 6a

The Google Pixel 6a has been spotted in the wild, with a design that is comparable to the Pixel 6 variants. This device appears to include a twin camera, however the main goal would be to provide a less expensive model. There’s no way of knowing what will power it or how much it will cost, and we doubt we’ll see it until Google I/O in May 2022 at the earliest.

Apple iPhone SE Plus

As soon as the 2020 iPhone SE was introduced, rumors about a larger model began to circulate. Given that the iPhone SE essentially replaces the iPhone 8, some are wondering if a Plus model will be released to fill the iPhone 8 Plus void. Will Apple fill this cheap-but-large gap with the upcoming iPhone 12 small, which costs substantially more than the SE?
