Google Pixel 6 Pro Specifications

Can Google Pixel 6 Pro Compete Among Flagship Phones?

The Google Pixel 6 Pro’s great camera and solid all-around performance make it a fantastic high-end Android phone that’s well worth your money.

The Pixel 6 Pro, which will be released around the end of 2021, is not just the best phone Google has ever made, but it’s also one of the best phones you can still buy in 2022. It is the most serious competitor to Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro and Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra due to its powerful performance, outstanding software additions, distinctive design, and excellent camera system.

That is, until we see what Samsung’s next flagship, the Galaxy S22, has to offer when it debuts in February. According to reports, the S22 will include a new, faster processor as well as improved camera specs. It’s possible that the Pixel 6 Pro is still the prettier of the two phones, but if you want the latest and greatest in phone technology, you should at least wait a few weeks to see what Samsung has to offer before making a decision.

The Pixel 6 Pro, on the other hand, manages to deliver a winning combination of specs and design at a price that actually undercuts its primary competitors. The 6.7-inch base 128GB model costs $899 (£849, AU$1,299), which is significantly cheaper than the $999 price tag for the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro and even less than the $1,099 price tag for the larger 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max.

The Pixel 6 Pro is premium all the way, unlike last year’s Pixel 5, which was more of a midrange phone with some higher-end touches. There’s a lot to appreciate about this phone, from its glass and metal appearance to its high-resolution display and excellent triple camera. Then there’s the Tensor processor, a Google-designed microprocessor that provides enough power for all of your daily needs, improved security, 5G connection, and a beautiful Android 12 interface. The battery life is adequate — probably above average — but not exceptional, with the iPhone 13 Pro outperforming it.

The Google Pixel 6 Pro feels as luxurious as it looks.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is its greatest Android opponent right now, and while it has some cool photography features (like that 10x zoom), it costs more, and the Pixel 6 Pro is more user-friendly. The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max are great all-around phones, but they’re more expensive, and if you’re already invested in the Android ecosystem, it’s probably not worth converting and buying all those applications all over again.

Those in search of the best all-around Android experience can look no further than the Pixel 6 Pro. However, keep in mind that the Galaxy S22 could be released in February.

Which one is better: the Pixel 6 Pro or the Pixel 6?

The price reduction is $599 (£599, AU$999). The Pixel 6 has the same Tensor CPU and beautiful Android 12 software for $300 less than the Pro, but there are a few concessions made to achieve that lower pricing.

It has a 6.4-inch display with a lower resolution and lacks the curved delicacy of the Pro. It includes a lesser battery, 8GB of RAM instead of 12GB, and lacks the 4x telephoto zoom lens featured on the Pro.
