The All-New 2021 Land Rover Defender 110 Magical Performance

The Land Rover Defender 110 is one of the most capable off-road vehicles available today. It offers exceptional performance giving it rivals sleepless nights. On-road, it exhibits pleasant handling and a comfortable ride while offering potent acceleration from two optional engines.

The Defender 110 is a four-door mid-size SUV with a spacious second row, a cavernous cargo hold, and an optional third-row that raises seating to seven. The Defender is loaded with technology and a user-friendly infotainment system.

The 2021 Land Rover offers two powertrain options (P300 and P400). The engine options are both fitted to an eight-speed automatic and full-time 4WD transmission. The entry-level P300 variants utilize a 2.0-liter turbo-four that develops 296 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, which Land Rover claims is good for 7.7 seconds to 60 mph in a Defender 110.

Defender 110 with the P400 powertrain employs a 3.0-liter turbocharged and electrically supercharged I-6. The P400 generates 395 hp and 406 lb-ft of twist, hitting the 0-60 in 5.8-6.1 seconds. The six-cylinder is more efficient, too. Turbo-four fuel economy ranges from 17-18/20-21 mpg city/highway compared to 17/22 mpg with the more powerful inline-six.

While off-roading is the real name of the game, the Defender 110 is also excellent on paved roads, too. It has confident cornering abilities and a fair bit of steering response. Ride quality is generally good too: For a funfilled experience, stick with the smaller wheels and go with the optional air suspension; a larger wheel setup can cause the Defender to ride a little stiffer.
