Romelu Lukaku to Leave Chelsea in January Transfer

Romelu Lukaku’s Agent, Federico Pastorello Said the Striker Will Leave Chelsea

Romelu Lukaku, a Chelsea striker, will depart the club in the near future to return to Serie A at some time. Federico Pastorello, Lukaku’s agent, made this accusation.

Pastorello, speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League match against Leeds United on Saturday evening, stated that Thomas Tuchel’s team should take advantage of the Belgium international for the time being.

Lukaku only returned to the Premier League this summer after joining Chelsea from Inter Milan, according to the DAILY POST.

After winning the Serie A title with Inter Milan last season under Antonio Conte, who is now the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, the 28-year-old finalised a £98 million move to the West London club in August.

“We will see Lukaku back in Serie A one day because he loves Italy,” Pastorello told Tuttosport. “But now it’s time for Chelsea to enjoy Romelu.”

After struggling at Manchester United, Lukaku went to Inter Milan in 2019.

The attacker has always praised his time in Serie A, believing that it ‘technically improved’ his game.

The Belgian international’s return to the club has been a rollercoaster, as he has struggled with a number of injuries, limiting him to just 11 appearances in all competitions this season.

Lukaku has five goals for Chelsea and will be hoping to stay fit for the next few weeks and score his first Premier League goal since Chelsea defeated Aston Villa 3-0 in September.

Lukaku dropped for Liverpool match as punishment for bombshell interview

Thomas Tuchel has benched Romelu Lukaku for Chelsea’s crucial match against Liverpool after the striker expressed dissatisfaction with his role at the club and expressed a desire to return to Inter Milan in the near future.

Despite the fact that the London club seemed to concur that the striker meant no harm, they were not impressed with his behavior, and several fans were outraged.

Tuchel is reportedly considering disciplinary action against Lukaku, according to The Telegraph.

Tuchel’s decision to bench the forward is unquestionably bold, given that his team has already lost ground in the title race and will feel compelled to beat Liverpool to stay in contention.

Tuchel must now figure out how to replace Lukaku, who has scored twice in his last two outings.

Timo Werner practiced with the team in the weeks leading up to the game, but he struggled with Covid-19 for over two weeks before returning to training, while Kai Havertz is yet to play a minute after surviving the virus.

Christian Pulisic has been starting up top for Chelsea in the absence of the three, but the American has looked out of place and is without a goal in his past seven Premier League games.

Lukaku’s Best Replacement for Chelsea

Despite a lengthy layoff with Covid, Kai Havertz is in a good position to replace Lukaku.

The Blues have also welcomed Timo Werner back, though he is still recovering from his own bout with the virus.

Christian Pulisic can also be used in the midfield, although he has failed to perform in a central role in recent weeks.

It’s awful timing for the Blues, as Lukaku had been in fine form since returning from Covid, scoring two goals in two games.
