Constance Nunes Blue Print In The Auto World

Constance Nunes was born on November 17, 1989. She is the lone woman and engine specialist at Gotham Garage, reality TV star, and model. She featured in the Netflix reality show Car Masters: Rust to Riches. The American mechanic credits her love for cars to her dad, a mechanic and drag racer. Her fans all over the world cherish her for her talent and no-nonsense attitude.

The title “engine specialist” was bestowed on her, not for fun but because her work speaks for itself. With over 600,000 Instagram followers, Nunes have carved a niche for herself in the history books with her confidence among her male co-workers. The challenges must be enormous but she has surpassed them all thanks to her Dad who instill the passion in her.

According to Hot Cars, Nunes appeared as a car model at the Grand Prix of Long Beach; she’s also appeared in print campaigns for Jockey, Wrangler, and Feral Cosmetics, as well as in commercials for Motorola and Kim Kardashian’s mobile game. Modeling is what she enjoys doing once she is out of the garage. Let’s get to know more about the engine expert Constance Nunes.

How it all started
During an interview with Carlyle Motors, Nunes explain that working on cars started as a family activity. “I grew up building cars my whole life,” she said. “My dad was a drag car racer, and our whole family is into building cars.”

Although she started working on cars as a family activity, its worthy of note that she has worked in the service departments for car brands such as Ford, Acura, Audi, and BMW. She also works on cars for a variety of garages around Los Angeles. Car Masters: Rust to Riches maybe her first TV gig, but in terms of auto industry jobs, it’s far from Nunes’ first time on the mechanic creeper

The “Babystang.”

Considering the numerous cars she has worked on, none got her attention as mustang as she did reveal in her Carlyle Motors interview exactly what kinds of cars she prefers. “I like my muscle cars, I think everyone in the shop gives me a hard time about that,” she said. “I do like Fords, I like my little Mustang.”

The Mustang in question is Nunes’ signature car, a 1964.5 model of the classic Ford cruiser that she has playfully dubbed “Babystang.” According to Nunes, she’s been working on the car for 14 years and is still not done perfecting it. She’s aiming for a modern rebuild that will keep the car running optimally, without losing the spirit of its original design. With the impact that she created during her short stint as a Netflix star, we’re sure to be seeing much more of her and the Babystang in the future.

In addition to her modeling work, Nunes worked as a stunt woman and background performer in Dodgeball and several of the Bring It On films according to her Model Mayhem page. The third, fourth, and fifth movies in the Bring It On franchise are on her stunt performer resume. Although her role in these movies were not specified there’s no mention of what kind of work she did for the films, considering they are all set in the world of competitive cheerleading, it seems likely that she did stunts as part of one of the fictional cheer squads.

Outside movies, Constance Nunes also features in several music videos, such as the house party-set Enrique Inglesias and Pitbull dance track “I’m a Freak” and Paris Hilton’s “High Off My Love,” featuring Birdman. Both videos have dozens of background performers hence sporting her may be a huge task. That notwithstanding, the engine specialist is talented beyond measures.

Her role as a woman in the auto industry
Nunes is the only woman in Car Masters: Rust to Riches garage. In an industry that is predominantly male-dominated, she is not restrained due to the fact that she is the only woman but rather sees herself as being fortunate enough to work on a higher platform as well as representing the women in this male-dominated industry.

These were her words while answering questions In an interview on former The Bachelor contestant Nick Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files. The return of Nunes and the rest of the Car Masters: Rust to Riches crew on Netflix for a third season, for now, is not disclosed but the name Nunes will continue to be heard and seen in the auto world in the future as she is not planning to retire soon.
