Outstanding Theme Bike From Orange County Choppers

Over the years, Orange County Choppers (OCC) has built many motorcycles. Their production ranges from bikes to feature on the television series American Chopper show, private customers, and companies with numerous others for charities. Bikes from the (OCC) are generally breathtaking as most bikes are built for and generally to the specifications of a particular customer. Some customers typically give OCC the creative freedom to bring out their ingenuity while others come with their specific idea in mind and expect OCC to reproduce their mental picture literally. Below are some of Orange County Choppers (OCC) bikes that have made some porosity impact in the industry.

Schneider Electric contracted Orange County Choppers to build their first hybrid motorcycle about which Paul Teutul, Sr. says will be “capable of traveling farther, without refueling or recharging, than any other OCC bike in history.” The Global specialist in energy management Schneider Electric will produce the parallel hybrid powertrain while Orange County Choppers (OCC) will have to bring in their design ideas as well as top quality build. This bike is expected to future in the American Chopper episode scheduled for next year.

The First Custom ’Green’ Electric Chopper
As part of its effort to raise environmental awareness, Siemens contracted Orange County Choppers to put up an entirely electric motorcycle. This became a serious challenge to (OCC) given that traditionally their bikes are always noisy and very spectacular choppers powered by a good old V-Twin engine. This challenge was well accepted by (OCC) as this will bring in a total turn-around in their builds.

This great challenge from Siemens resulted in a bike that looks as good as any other OCC creation if not even better, given the futuristic tendency. The bike comes with a 27-horsepower electric motor from Advanced DC which powers the Siemens electric chopper to a 100+ mph top speed. The six batteries take five hours to charge and supply the bike with electricity for around 60 miles, which is quite decent. OCC built the Siemens bike in a single month with an astonishing look that is incomparable.

Siemens laid out their plans for this fabulous bike such as going on a worldwide tour after which the bike will be auctioned and the proceeds donated to a charitable cause that will help benefit the environment.

EDS Byron Nelson Championship
“This breaks new ground in terms of enhancing what already is one of the most prestigious tournaments on the PGA TOUR,” said Ron Rittenmeyer, president and chief operating officer of EDS. “The prize motorcycle will be sought after by the players, and the proceeds from the online auction of the second chopper will help the EDS Byron Nelson Championship reach its $100 million milestones in charitable giving, more than any other event on the PGA TOUR. By auctioning this chopper for charity, we are helping Byron’s work for the kids continue.”

The motorcycle design featured chrome wheel spokes that individually commemorate each of Byron Nelson’s 11 consecutive tournament victories in 1945, a PGA TOUR record that stands today. Elements of wood and steel reflect the irons and persimmon woods of the Nelson golf era. The bike came with a Radio frequency identification technology, commonly known as RFID. A chip-based RFID tag implanted in the bike’s ignition will allow only the rider to arm and disarm the security system.

The Orange County Choppers were commissioned to build a B-2 bomber-themed motorcycle for the celebration of 20 years from the first flight of the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber by the U.S. Air Force. This strange-looking bike featured a front cowling and gas tank that were inspired by B-2’s cockpit and fuselage. Secondly, the bike commemorated the date of that first flight with the 0789 “tail number”. The wheels feature the Air Force star and the “aft deck” of the bike is made from a scrap piece of titanium used for the original B-2 aft deck.

“The Spirit of Innovation” was live at the event which was held at Palmdale, Calif to celebrate with the Northrop Grumman, the Air Force’s B-2 prime contractor, and the U.S. Air Force. This event marked July 17, 1989, when the famous war machine was lifted from the ground for the very first time.
