The TRD Pro also features a special front stabilizer bar, an aluminum front skid plate with extra underbody protection, and all-terrain Falken tires.

The Interior
The all-new Tundra is capable of accommodating five people in both Double Cab and CrewMax models. The front seats are spacious and comfortable in both cab styles, and the rear seats provide plenty of headroom. Adults can ride in the back of either cab, but the CrewMax’s legroom is much more generous.

As standard on the truck is an 8.0-inch touchscreen which can be upgraded to a 14.0-inch touchscreen. No matter which screen size you choose, the new Toyota Audio Multimedia system should be easier to use. Its processing power is five times greater than the old system, and it gets pinch-and-zoom functionality and standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The navigation system is cloud-based and can be updated over the air.

Additionally, a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster is available. When powering on the truck, Tundra animations activate on the display. Tundra offers three-bed lengths: 8-foot-1-inch, 6-foot-6-inch, and 5-foot-6-inch. Not all beds are available with all cab configurations. You can add features to improve bed utility, including in-bed lighting and an in-bed power outlet.

in-cabin storage comes standard, including compartments beneath and behind the rear seats. Hybrid models lose the under-seat compartments because that’s where the hybrid battery is located.

2022 Toyota Tundra – Previously, the Tundra was offered exclusively with a naturally aspirated V-8 engine. For the new model year, the Tundra gets a V-6, and it’s more powerful than the old engine despite having two fewer cylinders. A 10-speed automatic transmission replaces the previous six-speed on all models.

A standard 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 produces 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque (compare that to the 2021 Tundra’s 381-hp, 401 lb-ft V-8). Buyers who want more power can pair the V-6 engine with an electric motor. With this optional hybrid setup, output jumps to 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque. These hybrid systems offer serious tech.
