Obviously, having an online presence in your business is very crucial for long-term success as proven in recent times by local businesses. 

Facebook pages are platforms for businesses, brands, organizations, and public figures to share their stories, products, and services as well as connect with people who might turn out to be potential patrons of the business, brand or organization or even just for connecting.


Like profiles, Pages can be customized with stories, events and more and also, people who like or follow a Page can get updates in their News Feed. 

Some basic requirements to set up your Facebook page are:

1. Your business name and description

Name your Page after your business, or another name that people search for to find your business. Use the About section to tell people what your business does.

2. A profile photo and cover photo

Choose a cover photo and a profile photo that represent your business well. Many businesses choose to use their logo as a profile photo.

You can also use this common ideology in order to pass across a visual message to your target market.

For the cover photo, choose an image of your shop, products or from a current marketing campaign.

3. The action you want people to take

At the top of your Page, you can add a call to action that directs your Page visitors to do something, such as visit your website or phone your shop. It just takes a few clicks.

To create a Page:

  1. While logged in on Facebook, check the menu on the left. Now if you have liked pages before, you should see pages listed in that menu.

2. Once you click on pages, you are taken to a new page. Create Page should be visible at the top of that page.

3. Click on Create Page and you will be taken to a page with a list of page types that you can create. Select according to what you want to create as shown below.

3. Click to choose a Page type based on what kind of page you have in mind whether Business, Company, Organization, Product and so on.

4. Fill out all the required information.

5. Click Get Started and follow the on-screen instructions.

OR

1. If you are using a PC, laptop or similar device to access Facebook, you should see  Create at the top right hand of your facebook taskbar, just after your username and home.

2. Click on it and it takes you to the page in the picture above. Then you can proceed from the third step as stated above in the first list of procedures.

Note: Anyone can create a Page, but only official representatives can create a Page for an organization, business, brand or public figure.
