Facebook Dating is a Facebook-developed digital dating product. At their F8 developer conference in May 2018, Facebook revealed the product.
At the conference, the service was not completely revealed, and attendees were informed that more details would come soon. Within several months of the meeting, the feature was in internal beta tests.
On September 20, 2018, Facebook Dating was first introduced in Colombia. As it was still in the testing phase, users contributed to determining what the dating platform will look like for potential users.
Facebook claimed that it would become a more popular part of the current Facebook application if the testing went well.
The second expansion was released in October 2018 in Canada and Thailand. Fourteen additional nations, including Australia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Laos, Brazil, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Guyana, and Suriname, are expected to be enlarged. In Colombia, Thailand, Canada, Argentina, and Mexico, the service has been operating for a year.
It enables users to communicate with others all over the world and is not limited to the particular area in which they live.
On September 5, 2019, Facebook Dating was partially introduced in the United States. Some users discover that even though others can log in and access their device, the program would not let them opt into Facebook Dating at all.
A user can filter outcomes on the Facebook Dating Application based on the venue, the number of children, faith, age, or height, and can match other users within a 100-km radius.
All these are done for users to connect easily to other users based on their choice.
Now how the application works:-
If you are 18 or older and have downloaded the new version of Facebook, you can choose to opt-in to Facebook Dating and build a Dating Profile (separate from your main profile). Facebook Dating helps you to pair friends with friends and/or people who are not in your circle of friends. If you plan to use Secret Crush and you both add each other to your list, Facebook Dating will not fit you with your friends. In Facebook Dating, all your dating activity will remain. It won’t be shared with the rest of your Facebook account.

4. Events and communities allow individuals to see items of common interests. Within the groups, you are part of and the events you have attended or may attend, you can choose to see other people that are using Facebook Dating that suit your tastes. You will also be clear to them when you want to see these individuals.
