In this post, you’ll learn how to respond to events on Facebook. Regardless of the device, you are using to access your Facebook account, you’ll be able to respond to an event invite sent to you.

How do I respond to an event invite on Facebook?
Just a few minutes of reading this and you could learn exactly how to respond to Facebook event invites.
In all the devices listed below, you must first be logged into your Facebook account on the device before you follow the enumerated steps.
FROM A COMPUTER:
To respond to a public event:
  1. From your News Feed, click Events in the left menu and select the event.
  2. Click Interested or Going.
You’ll get updates about the event and can always change your response later.
To respond to a private event:
  1. From your News Feed, click Events in the left menu and select the event.
  2. Click Going, Maybe or Can’t Go.
Note: For private events, hosts and other guests are able to see when you’ve viewed an event invitation.
To save an event:
If you want to keep your interest in an event private, you can save it:
  1. Click the 3 horizontal dots (…) icon.
  2. Select Save.
Events you’ve saved will be listed under your upcoming events.
To respond to an individual time in the main event:

  • Go to the event and click Interested.

    • Note: If you click Interested on an individual time in the main event, you will automatically RSVP as Interested to the entire series. 
    However, you will only receive notifications and updates related to the individual time you’d like to attend.
    People may be able to see if you’re Interested or Going to events in a News Feed story, through notifications, on the event itself or in the Events section of your profile, depending on the event’s privacy setting.

    USING A BASIC MOBILE PHONE BROWSER:

    Note: This is not for Android Phones but could be your normal keypad phones.
    To respond to a public event on your mobile phone:
    1. Tap Menu then tap Events and select the event.
    2. Tap View Event.
    3. Click Interested or Going.
    To respond to a private event:
    1. Tap Menu then tap Events and select the event.
    2. Tap View Event.
    3. Click Going, Maybe or Can’t Go under the event name.
    Note: For private events, hosts and other guests are able to see when you’ve viewed an event invitation.

    USING AN ANDROID PHONE BROWSER:

    IF you are using a browser in an Android Phone to access your Facebook account, follow the steps below.
    To respond to a public event:
    1. Tap the 3 Parallel-lines icon then tap Events and select the event.
    2. Tap Interested or Going.
    When you choose Interested, you’ll get updates on the event and can change your response later.
    To respond to a private event:
    1. Tap  3 Parallel-lines then tap Events and select the event.
    2. Tap Going, Maybe or Can’t Go.
    Note: For private events, hosts and other guests are able to see when you’ve viewed an event invitation.
    To save an event:
    If you want to keep your interest in an event private, you can save it:
    1. Tap the 3 dots (…) icon.
    2. Select Save.
    Events you’ve saved will be listed under your upcoming events.

    USING THE FACEBOOK ANDROID APP:

    To respond to a public event:
    1. Tap the 3 parallel-lines icon then tap Events and select the event.
    2. Tap Interested or Going.
    When you choose Interested, you’ll get updates on the event and can change your response later.

    1. Tap the  3 parallel-lines then tap Events and select the event.
    2. Tap Going, Maybe or Can’t Go.

    2. Select Save.
