You can delete messages or conversations on Facebook however archiving is particularly easy in
Facebook Messages. It moves a conversation to a separate folder to keep your inbox clean and you
organized.
According to the Facebook Help Center, archiving messages or conversations hides them from your
inbox until the next time you exchange messages with that person.

How to Archive Facebook Conversations on Your Computer
To archive conversations or messages on your personal computer, do this;
2. Go to the login section, enter your email or mobile number and password in the spaces provided.
3. And then click the login button to proceed to your account
4. Click the Messages icon in the top-right corner of your Facebook screen. At the bottom of the
window that opens and displays recent message conversations, click See All in Messenger, or
5. Click the Options Gear at the top of an individual open conversation and select Open in Messenger.
6. From the Messenger screen, click the Settings Gear. This can be located next to the conversation
you want to archive.
7. Finally, choose Archive from the pop-up menu.
Bear in mind that the chosen message is moved to your Archived Threads folder. To see the contents
of the Archived Threads folder, do the following;
1. Click the Settings Gear at the top of the Messenger screen and
2, Select Archived Threads from the popup menu.
Remember also that if the conversation is unread, the sender’s name appears in bold type in the
Archived Threads folder. If you previously viewed the conversation, the sender’s name appears in
regular type.
How to Archive Message On Facebook Messenger App for iOS
To archive a conversation in the Messenger app for iOS devices, do the following:
1. Tap the Messenger app on the Home screen.
2. Tap the Home icon at the bottom of the screen to display the conversations.
3. Navigate through the conversation list to find the one you want to delete.
4. Tap and hold the conversation. Makes sure you do not use Force Touch.
5. Choose More in the screen that opens.
6. Tap Archive.
How to Archive Messages On Facebook Messenger App for Android
To archive message on Facebook Messenger using Android mobile devices:
1. Open the Messenger app.
2. Tap the Home icon to see your conversations.
3. Press and hold on the conversation you want to archive.
4. Tap Archive
