How to Cancel searches on Messenger via Android App
If you use an iOS terminal, then an iPhone or an iPad, you can cancel searches on Messenger by going to the Facebook access management panel and ending the current sessions of Messenger on iPhone: in doing so, you will be forcibly disconnected from your account and all temporary application data, including searches made inside it, will be deleted.
To proceed, start the official Facebook app (not Messenger, Facebook), press the hamburger icon located at the bottom right and scroll up and down the page that opens. At this point, presses on Settings and privacy, go to Settings, then Security and access and, in the screen that opens, select the item Other located at the bottom of the Where you have logged in.
You will find yourself in front of the list of all the accesses to Facebook and Messenger that you have opened on your devices. Locate, then, all the entries related to iPhone and Messenger and proceed to their removal: if you do not know how to do, just press the button with the three dots placed in front of the session to close and select the item Exit from the menu that appears on the screen.
Now, start the Messenger app and if everything is spun in the right direction, a message will appear on the screen that the session has expired and you need to log in again your account: if not, back in the Facebook app and better control the access list, because most likely you have left active access to Messenger from iPhone.
When the message regarding the expired session appears, tap OK, log in to Messenger again by entering your Facebook account credentials (or simply by pressing the Continue button as [your name] and choose whether or not to invite your friends to Messenger sending them a message (personally I suggest you decline the invitation).
At this point, presses the search bar located at the top and you should note that, in the next screen, there is no search suggestion: a sign that the procedure was successful.
Delete searches on Messenger from PC – How To Clear Recent Search History on Fb Messenger
As you probably know, Messenger is accessible from a PC via the Facebook Chat panel (the one located on the right in the main page of the social network) and through the dedicated Messenger.com site. In neither case, however, there is a search history like the one in the Messenger app for Android and iOS.
The only chronology available on Facebook for computers is that relating to the searches carried out within the social network, then to the searches of people, pages, events, etc. which were made through the appropriate bar located at the top left.
If you want to delete one of the names that appear automatically on Facebook when you click on the search bar located at the top left, proceed as follows: click on the bar in question and select the item placed at the top of the menu with the search history (which appears automatically at the bottom).
In the page that opens, find the name you want to delete from the search history (eg You have searched for How To Do For), click on the prohibition sign that is in front of it, select the Delete item from the menu that opens and confirm, by pressing the Remove search button that appears in the center of the screen. Now repeat the operation for all the names (or even pages, events, etc.) that you want to delete from the Facebook search history and the game will be done.
If you want to act as a smartphone and tablet, in order to delete the search history in the application of Facebook (so not in Messenger, but in the social network app), proceed like this: start the Facebook app on your device, presses the search bar located at the top and tap the Edit item at the top right of the screen that is displayed on the screen.
On the page that opens, find the name you want to delete from the history of Facebook, presses on the x that is in its correspondence and confirm, pressing the button Remove that appears on the screen.
Delete Facebook history.
Repeat the operation for all the names, or even the pages, events etc. that you want to delete from the history of the Facebook app and the game will be done.
It was not difficult, was it?
