If that is the case with you, let me inform you that Facebook store the name of all the people you’ve blocked on the platform in a list known as block list.
Facebook customized the list such that you can view and unblock people whenever you wish to reconnect with them.

N/B: When you wish to reconnect with the people you’ve blocked on Facebook, first, you’ve to access your block list, secondly, you’ll need to click the unblock button that is next to their name. Finally, you’ll need to send them friend requests which they will need to accept.
The reason is Facebook does not reconnect you with the people you’ve blocked when you unblock them automatically.
How to See Your Block List On Facebook
To see your block list on Facebook, do this;
1. Log in to your Facebook account
2. Click the question mark icon at the top right corner of any Facebook page
3. Click See More Privacy Setting from the page that displays
4. Next, click Blocking in the left column of the page that appears
5. Scroll to the Block Users Section and you see all the people you’ve restricted from accessing your Facebook profile.
