5 Types Of Dating Events That You Should Try

Looking to meet someone online? Let the experts help you out with one of these virtual speed dating events. Original Dating help to organize hundreds of events across the country each year, offering a fun new way to meet like-minded singles. So here it is: Five dating events you might actually, theoretically, be willing to try:

Biblio Dating

Biblio Dating is a term used to describe the process of matching books
This is something I’ve discussed previously, and I still believe it’s a fantastic concept. Instead of traditional speed dating, you bring a book to read and discuss with each potential match. And, similar to speed dating, you choose your matches in a covert manner, and if they choose you, you are given more contact information. I still believe that the books a person reads reveal a great deal about them.

Have an adventure

Events And Adventures is an invitation-only singles meetup site where you may go grape stomping, glow-in-the-dark bowling, or whitewater rafting with an evenly matched group of singles in your area. Unfortunately, none of these are located near me, but let’s hope they expand.

Play with some Legos

It’s possible that the journey to London will be worthwhile. Playdate London pairs up singles and puts them in a room full of toys to construct, play with, and create with. This sounds like a lot of fun! I’m tempted to hire a room and throw my own party. I’m sure I have the necessary Legos.

Bring along a friend

Tandem allows you to go on a couples date with another pair of friends. It seems like it would be a lot less awkward if I brought a friend, and best-case scenario, you and your friend are both thrilled.

Tell the world something interesting

Me So Far puts you on stage to deliver a five-minute presentation (much like a TED talk, but all about you, based on offered prompts), and then people can mix and mingle at the bar at the conclusion of the evening. So far, Me So Far believes that “interesting individuals are beautiful.” Many people are afraid of public speaking, but the theatre girl in me feels it would be a great opportunity to meet new people.
