Two formats
“Post-UTME” covers two quite different things: a written/CBT test you must sit and pass, or a screening that just scores your existing results. Which one applies depends entirely on your institution.
The written/CBT test
Many universities run an actual computer-based (or paper) test — usually multiple-choice questions across your UTME subjects or general aptitude, taken at the school. Your test score feeds the aggregate. This is where preparation matters most.
Screening (no test)

In that case both parts matter: your existing results set part of your standing before you even sit the test.
