New to JAMB, or not sure where to begin? Start here. This help centre walks you through preparing for the 2026/2027 UTME on Belmadeng — from choosing the right subjects to practising, planning and fixing common JAMB problems — and links you straight to the right free tool for each step.
Getting started: your JAMB prep in 6 steps
Confirm your subjects
Check the correct UTME subject combination for your course with the Subject Combination Checker.
Step 2Get the syllabus
Read the official JAMB syllabus for each of your four subjects in the Study Centre.
Step 3Build a study plan
Turn your exam date and study days into a personalised JAMB reading timetable.
Step 4Practise by topic
Drill one syllabus topic at a time with instant marking and worked explanations.
Step 5Take subject tests
Sit full-length, timed subject tests to build speed and check your readiness.
Step 6Sit a full mock
Rehearse the real UTME with a timed mock across all four of your subjects.
Keep momentum between sessions with the JAMB Daily Challenge — 10 fresh questions every day. Applying to university? See the JAMB admission & CAPS guide, and read in-depth JAMB preparation guides for study strategy.
Having a JAMB problem? Open the Problem Solver
Pick your exact issue — profile code, NIN, ePIN, registration, result, CAPS or portal — and get a diagnosis, safe step-by-step fixes, the official source, and scam warnings.
Solve my problem →Common JAMB problems at a glance
Short answers to the issues candidates hit most. For the full, step-by-step fix and the official link, open the JAMB Problem Solver.
Profile code problems
Most profile-code failures come from texting from a number not linked to your NIN, a name or date-of-birth mismatch on your NIN, or a network delay. Use the exact phone number tied to your NIN, confirm your NIMC details, and wait before retrying.
Full step-by-step fix →Registration issues
Register only at an accredited CBT centre, with your NIN ready and using an email and phone number you control. Keep your profile code private and collect every printed slip.
Full registration guide →CAPS won’t load or log in
CAPS is busiest right after results and admission uploads — try off-peak, switch your browser to desktop mode if the mobile view misbehaves, and use the official eFacility portal with your registration email and password.
How CAPS works →Result checking
Check results through your JAMB profile on the official portal. The free notification slip differs from the original result slip used for admission (a small fee applies). Never share your login with a “checker” site.
Check your result safely →Admission problems
An empty CAPS usually means your institution has not uploaded your batch yet — not a rejection. Confirm you meet the requirements, watch your school’s announcements, and check CAPS through the season. Change of course or institution is done on the official JAMB portal only.
