Who registers
The May/June NBC/NTC is for in-school candidates in technical colleges, trade centres, vocational and business schools. Registration is done through your school/centre on the NABTEB student portal.
Requirements
- A passport photograph sized 160×200px, under 30kb.
- Correct bio-data (name matching your other documents).
- Biometric capture using NABTEB’s offline software.
- A registration PIN and serial number from a NABTEB scratch card.
- Your chosen subjects/trade (English and Mathematics plus trade subjects).
How to register
- Buy a NABTEB registration PIN and complete offline biometric capture.
- Register online at the NABTEB students’ portal (student.nabteb.gov.ng) using your PIN and serial.
- Fill the form, upload your photo, and select your subjects.
- Submit, note your candidate number, and print your photocard.
Fee & what it covers
The 2026 NABTEB registration fee is ₦24,500, paid via Remita. It covers the application form, digital biometrics, examination materials, practicals and result checking. Fees change — confirm the current amount on the official NABTEB channels.
Deadline
For 2026, in-school registration ran from 26 January to 31 May, with the exam from 15 June. Register early — windows can be extended but you shouldn’t rely on it.
Left school? Use Nov/Dec
If you have finished school or want to add/improve subjects, register for the NABTEB Nov/Dec (private candidates) instead.
Mistakes to avoid
- Entering an invalid email — this can penalise your card use.
- Name/DOB mismatch with your documents.
- Neglecting practicals — they count toward your grade.
- Late registration.
