Screening

Applications are first screened against the eligibility criteria — degree class, NYSC, O'Levels, NIN and field. Applications that don't meet the basics are dropped.

What's assessed

Selection weighs your academic record, the relevance of your discipline to oil & gas, and the quality of your statement of purpose or research proposal — plus compliance with the guidelines.

Tests & interviews

Depending on the cycle, shortlisted candidates may face assessment tests and/or interviews. Prepare to speak clearly about your goals, your field and (for PhD) your proposed research.

It's merit-based

PTDF seeks high-performing candidates — selection is on merit. No agent can buy you a place; anyone claiming otherwise is running a scam.
