What CDCFIB is

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), under the Federal Ministry of Interior, is the body that recruits for four paramilitary agencies at once. If you want any of them, this is your gateway.

Applications run on the official CDCFIB portal: recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng (also referred to as cdcfib.career). Everything — application, shortlist, CBT, physical screening and verification — is centralised there.

How to apply

  1. Confirm the exercise is officially open.
  2. Create a profile with your NIN, email and password; verify via the email link.
  3. Select one agency (NIS, NSCDC, FFS or NCoS) and the cadre you qualify for.
  4. Complete and submit the form; keep your reference slip.

Is a cycle open?

Cycles are large but periodic (a recent exercise targeted around 30,000+ personnel across the four agencies). Between cycles the portal may only handle screening for existing applicants. Check the official portal for current status rather than trusting blogs or groups.

Application, screening and enlistment are free and merit-based. Anyone requesting payment is not acting for CDCFIB — see scams.
