Please note

Belmadeng is an independent study platform — we are not a recruiter and are not affiliated with any government agency, force or board. Genuine government recruitment is FREE at every stage: never pay anyone to apply, be shortlisted, or be enlisted, and no agent can “guarantee” you a slot. Apply only through official portals, and only when a cycle is officially open — windows open periodically and old links circulate. Portals, dates and requirements change — always confirm on the official channel.

About the NSCDC

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) supports internal security — protecting critical national infrastructure (pipelines, power stations, public buildings), assisting in emergencies, and complementing the Police. It has tens of thousands of officers across all 36 states and the FCT.

Applying via CDCFIB

NSCDC does not recruit independently — recruitment is managed by the CDCFIB. Apply on recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, create a profile with your NIN, and select NSCDC and your cadre.

Cadres

Like the other agencies, NSCDC recruits from Assistant cadres (O'Level) to Inspectorate and Officer cadres (OND/NCE/HND/degree). Apply to the cadre you qualify for — one only.

Eligibility

Nigerian citizen, valid NIN, the education for your cadre, within the 18–35 age band, meeting height/medical standards, and of good character with no criminal record.

Screening

Shortlisted candidates sit a CBT and physical screening with document verification. Watch your email/SMS and the portal for dates.

Tips

  • Apply via CDCFIB, select NSCDC.
  • One agency & cadre per cycle.
  • Keep originals ready for screening.

About the NSCDC

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) is the paramilitary agency responsible for protecting critical national infrastructure (pipelines, power installations, government facilities), preventing and investigating certain crimes, responding to emergencies and disasters, and regulating private security companies. A role here suits those drawn to security and community protection. Its recruitment runs through CDCFIB alongside the other three paramilitary services — so “Civil Defence recruitment” and “CDCFIB for NSCDC” are the same thing.

How to apply (via CDCFIB)

Apply on the official CDCFIB portal (recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng), choosing NSCDC as your service and the cadre that matches your qualification. As with all four agencies, it's free, your NIN and phone are your application ID, and you may apply to only one service per cycle. After applying, the process runs through shortlisting, a CBT and physical screening. Only apply when a cycle is genuinely open, via the official portal.

Eligibility and screening

Standard paramilitary requirements apply: Nigerian by birth, the relevant age band (broadly 18–35), the educational qualification for the cadre (O'Level/diploma for junior grades up to a degree for officer cadres), height (about 1.65m men / 1.60m women), medical fitness (government-hospital certificate at screening), and good character with no criminal record or secret-society membership. At physical screening you'll face measurement, fitness and document checks — come early with all originals.
