Please note

Belmadeng is an independent study platform and is not affiliated with NABTEB. This is an informational guide — register and check results only on the official NABTEB websites (nabteb.gov.ng and eworld.nabteb.gov.ng), buy result-checker PINs only from the official portal (epins.nabteb.gov.ng), and never enter your details on look-alike sites.

Wrong candidate number

The most common cause. Enter your candidate (registration) number exactly as printed on your exam slip — re-check every character.

Wrong exam type or year

Select the correct exam type (May/June, Nov/Dec or Modular) and the correct year. The wrong choice returns no result.

PIN & card problems

  • PIN used 5 times, or used for a different candidate — buy a new card from epins.nabteb.gov.ng.
  • Fake or used card — buy only from the official portal.
  • Extra spaces when pasting the PIN/serial — remove them.

Portal slow or errors

Use a modern browser (Chrome/Firefox), clear your cache, and try again — ideally at an off-peak time. Click Submit only once so you don’t waste card uses on a weak connection.

Result not released yet

Your result may simply not be out for your session. May/June results typically arrive around September/October and Nov/Dec early the next year — check back later.

Wasted card on a bad email

If you chose “send to email” and entered it wrongly, it can use up a card check. Enter your email carefully.

Stay safe

Use only eworld.nabteb.gov.ng and buy PINs from epins.nabteb.gov.ng. Never use “agents” promising to fix or upgrade results.

Quick checks to run first

Most NABTEB result problems are simple. Run through these first:

An “invalid PIN” message almost always traces to one of these — a mistyped detail, a used card, or the wrong exam type/year.

When results aren't out yet

Sometimes the result simply hasn't been released. NABTEB typically takes some weeks after the last paper to publish results, so if you're checking early, that's likely the cause — not a fault on your end. Confirm the official release date through NABTEB's channels before assuming something's wrong. If results for your cycle are out and yours still won't display with correct details, the issue is more likely a PIN/detail problem or a genuine account matter to follow up.

Getting the right help

If quick fixes don't work and it's not a timing issue, use official NABTEB support (the contact details on the official site) or, for in-school candidates, your school, which can liaise with NABTEB. Explain the exact message and quote your candidate number and exam details. Avoid anyone offering to “release” or “upgrade” a result for a fee — they can't, and you risk losing money or exposing your data. Genuine issues are only resolved through NABTEB itself.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my NABTEB result not showing?
Common causes are a wrong candidate number, the wrong exam type/year, a PIN used five times, portal errors, or the result not being released yet.
My NABTEB PIN is invalid — what do I do?
Check for extra spaces and that the card hasn’t been used five times; buy a fresh PIN from the official portal, epins.nabteb.gov.ng.
My NABTEB result is not released — when will it be out?
May/June results typically arrive around September/October and Nov/Dec early the next year. Confirm on nabteb.gov.ng.
I used up my NABTEB card — what now?
Each PIN works five times; buy a new one from epins.nabteb.gov.ng to check again.
Is it the website or my card?
If the portal loads but your details fail, it’s usually your input or card; if it won’t load, clear your cache and try a different browser or off-peak time.
Why is my NABTEB result not showing?
Usually a fixable issue — a mistyped candidate number, the wrong exam type or year selected, an incorrect or used-up PIN/serial, or a slow portal. An 'invalid PIN' message almost always traces to one of these. If your details are right and results for your cycle are out, follow up with NABTEB.
What does 'invalid PIN' mean on NABTEB?
That the PIN or serial was typed incorrectly, the card is already used up, or the card is for a different exam type or year than the one you selected. Re-check every character, confirm the right exam type and year, and ensure the card matches.
My NABTEB result isn't out — is something wrong?
Probably not — NABTEB typically takes some weeks after the last paper to release results, so checking early is the usual reason nothing shows. Confirm the official release date through NABTEB's channels before assuming a fault.
The NABTEB portal is timing out — what do I do?
It's often congested during peak checking periods — try again at off-peak hours, use a stable connection, or use the SMS checking option as a fallback. Confirm you're on the correct official portal (eworld.nabteb.gov.ng).
Who do I contact about a NABTEB result problem?
Official NABTEB support (contact details on the official site), or for in-school candidates your school, which can liaise with NABTEB. Quote your candidate number and exam details, and avoid anyone offering to 'release' or 'upgrade' results for a fee.
