- Select your examination year.
- Select your examination type.
- Enter your 12-digit token and your registration number.
- Click Check Result, then download or print.

You can also check by SMS: send NECO*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear to 32327 (keep about ₦50 airtime). Your result is returned by SMS.
After 5 uses
Once a token has been used 5 times for a result, it stops working. Buy a new token, or if an institution needs to confirm your result, use NECO’s e-Verify service.
If your result won’t show
- Invalid token — a typo, or confusing 0 (zero) with O and 1 (one) with l; copy-paste it from “My Tokens”.
- Result not found — re-check your registration number and year, or it may not be released yet.
- Result withheld — NECO has flagged it for investigation; raise a support ticket (see problems & fixes).
- Load error — the portal is busy; try another browser or an off-peak time.

Use only results.neco.gov.ng, and buy your token only on the official portal. Unofficial sellers and look-alike sites overcharge or steal details.
Checking on the official portal
NECO results are checked online at the official NECO results portal (results.neco.gov.ng). The steps: open the portal, select your examination year, select your examination type (e.g. SSCE Internal for school candidates, SSCE External/GCE for private candidates), enter your token, and enter your registration (exam) number exactly as on your slip, then check. Your grades load on screen — save or print a copy for your records and for uploading to JAMB/admission portals. NECO has moved to a digital token system (the old scratch cards have been retired).
Buying and using your token
You need a token (a digital PIN) to check SSCE/BECE results. Buy it the safe way: create an account on results.neco.gov.ng, go to “Purchase Token,” and pay through the approved payment channel; the token then appears in your account for use. Enter it carefully — mistyped details waste attempts. Note that NCEE and National Gifted results don't need a token. Token pricing is set by NECO and can change, so confirm the current price on the portal rather than paying an inflated amount to a street vendor.
Avoiding result-checker scams
Result season is scam season. Protect yourself: buy tokens only from the official portal or genuinely approved channels — fake or already-used PINs simply won't work; never enter your details on look-alike websites that mimic the NECO portal to steal data or money; and ignore WhatsApp/social-media “agents” promising cheap tokens or “upgraded” results.
