No need to re-register
If your birth certificate is lost or damaged, you don’t re-register the birth — the record already exists in the NPC database. You simply obtain another copy.
Use the reprint service
NPC certificates are typically downloadable once after the original application, so NPC provides a reprint service to download your certificate again from your NPC account.

Lost the download or the card
A common situation: you registered before, but you've lost the certificate or already used your one download. Because an approved NPC certificate can only be downloaded once, needing another copy is normal — and the fix is not to re-register (your record already exists). Instead you request another copy through the NPC's Certificate Reprint module. So don't panic about a lost certificate: your registration stands, and the portal is designed to let you obtain a fresh copy from the existing record.
Reprint vs reissuance
Two modules serve two slightly different needs:
- Certificate Reprint — to get another copy of a certificate you already obtained digitally (e.g. after the one-time download).
- Certificate Reissuance — to obtain the digital version of an old paper certificate you hold.
Both are on the NPC website under Services. Choosing the right one keeps your request clean — use reprint for a modern digital record, reissuance to bring an old paper certificate into the digital system.

Replacement only applies if you were already registered. If there's no existing record — the birth was never registered — then it's not a replacement you need but a fresh registration or attestation: a child under 18 uses birth registration, and an adult 18+ uses attestation.
