Please note

Belmadeng is an independent study platform and is not affiliated with NYIF, the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, the CBN or NMFB. This is general information, not financial advice. Application windows open periodically (the portal is not always open) — use only the current official portal, beware fake NYIF websites, and remember applying is free (no one legitimate charges a fee). Amounts, portals and terms change — confirm current details officially.

Applying is free

Applying for NYIF is free. No one legitimate charges a “registration”, “processing” or “approval” fee, and no one can guarantee your loan. Payment requests = scam.

Fake portals & old links

Scammers clone the portal and recycle old registration links as if a new window is open. Only use the current official .gov.ng portal (see the portal guide) — not links from strangers or social media.

“Pay a fee” & “guaranteed” cons

Common cons: pay for a “form”, pay to “upgrade” your status, pay an “agent” who “knows someone”. All fake. Merit and a solid business plan — not money — win NYIF.

Protect your details

Never share your password, OTP, BVN or bank PIN. Guard your NIN and BVN — see how to avoid scams.

If you're targeted

Don't pay. Report to the EFCC, and if your bank details were exposed, contact your bank at once.

Tips

  • Never pay to apply.
  • Use only the current official portal.
  • Never share OTP/PIN/BVN.
