What Urban and Regional Planning is about
Urban and Regional Planning is the study of how towns, cities and regions are planned and developed — organising land use, infrastructure, housing and the environment for livable, sustainable communities.
A brief history of the discipline
As cities grew rapidly, planning became essential to manage growth, transport, housing and the environment. It is central to addressing Nigeria’s fast urbanisation. Planners are registered by TOPREC.
