Your NYSC call-up letter is the document that tells you where you will serve. It shows your state of deployment, your orientation camp and the reporting date, and you must print it and carry it to camp.
When it’s released
Call-up letters are released in batches after registration closes and once you have paid the call-up letter fee. Watch your dashboard and SMS for your batch/stream.
How to print your call-up letter
- Log in to the portal at portal.nysc.org.ng.
- Click Print Call-Up Letter.
- It opens as a PDF — download and print it.
- Carry printed copies to camp.
Your call-up number
Your call-up number is system-generated and appears on your dashboard, your green card and your call-up letter. It is created only after your call-up letter payment is successful.

If your call-up letter (or number) hasn’t appeared
- Confirm your call-up letter payment was successful — a failed Remita payment means no call-up number is generated.
- Remember letters are released in batches; keep checking your dashboard daily.
- Confirm your name is on the Senate list.
- Wait for your batch/stream release period.

What the call-up letter is
The call-up letter is the document that officially deploys you to a state and camp for your service year. It carries your call-up number and states where you'll serve — the state you're posted to and the orientation camp to report to. It's essential: you need it to report to camp and to complete your on-site registration. It's distinct from the green card/registration slip (proof of registration) and from the exemption/exclusion documents issued to those not serving.
Getting and printing it
Call-up letters are released on your NYSC dashboard shortly before camp, once mobilisation for your batch/stream is finalised. To get yours: log in to portal.nysc.org.ng, and print the call-up letter when it appears, along with the other documents required for camp reporting. Print several clean copies and keep a digital copy too. Check the details — your deployment state and camp — and plan your travel to arrive on the stated reporting date.
If it's not available yet
If your call-up letter isn't showing yet, don't panic — letters are released in batches/streams, so timing varies and it may simply not be your turn. Confirm you've completed registration and are on the Senate list, then check your dashboard again later. If a whole stream has been called up and yours still isn't available despite complete registration, follow up through official NYSC channels. Avoid “agents” claiming they can produce or speed up a call-up letter — the letter only ever comes from NYSC.
