How batches & streams work
NYSC mobilises graduates in batches — A, B and C — across the year, and each batch is often split into Stream I and Stream II to manage numbers. Each batch/stream has its own registration window, call-up release and camp date.
Current 2026 dates
Dates change every batch. The dates below are current as of September 2026 — always confirm the latest on the official NYSC portal before acting.
For 2026 Batch C Stream I: online registration ran 7–13 September 2026; the orientation course runs 30 September – 20 October 2026, with camp registration from 30 September to 2 October and swearing-in on 2 October 2026.
The typical service-year timetable
- Senate list uploaded by your institution.
- Online registration during the batch window.
- Call-up letter released (pay, then print).
- 21-day orientation camp.
- PPA + CDS for about 11 months.
- Passing-out parade and discharge certificate.
Which batch will I be in?
Your batch depends on when your institution mobilises you and when you register. You cannot pick your batch freely; watch your dashboard and your school’s announcements.
Tips
- Register early in your window — they are short.
- Confirm each date on the official portal, not from social media.
- Prepare your documents and camp kit ahead of the camp date.
