How WAEC works, start to finish

The path is straightforward: you register (through your school for the May/June WASSCE, or independently for the GCE), sit your papers according to the timetable, and about 45–90 days later check your result on waecdirect.org. You read it using the A1–F9 grading system, collect your certificate, and use your credits for admission — uploading them to your JAMB profile and confirming they meet your course’s requirements.

How many credits do I need for university admission?
Most courses require at least five credits (C6 and above), including English Language and Mathematics, plus any subjects specific to your course.
